What is the difference between 4-Pound, 6-Pound, and 8-Pound Boski Silk?
Boski poundage denotes silk yarn density per bolt. 4-Pound Boski offers featherlight, airy drape ideal for humid Pakistani summers; 6-Pound provides versatile all-year midweight fall; 8-Pound delivers heavy, regal body designed for winter formal kurtas and groomswear.
How many meters of unstitched fabric are needed for a men's Shalwar Kameez?
For standard heights up to 5'10" with standard 54-inch loom width (Arz-e-Bareek), a 4.5-meter cut is optimal. For heights 5'11" and above or heavy ghera Patiala shalwars, a 7.0-meter cut is recommended.
How should unstitched cotton Karandi and Khaddar be pre-treated before tailoring?
Soak unstitched Karandi or Khaddar in cool, clean water for 1.5 to 2 hours (water dip / shrink treatment) prior to tailoring. Dry in shade away from direct sunlight to preserve yarn luster and crisp fall.
